  • First Lite Chama Hoody
The midweight Chama hoody is one of those base layer pieces that finds its way into your pack on every hunt. If it’s a fall hunt the Chama hoody flies solo, protecting you from bacterial build-up, moisture and chafing in the warm weather. If its winter you layer the Chama with a lighter base layer and add an insulation layer over the top. The ¼ zip allows for some temperature regulation and the hood allows you the option for a little more head protection on those cool days, or in the case of the ASAT pattern, makes you that much more stealthy on a stalk. If you are on the fence about merino wool or looking to expand your options the Chama hoody deserves a place in your pack. -1/4 zip -Arm pocket -Machine washable and dryable

  • First Lite Llano Long Sleeve
The Llano long sleeve is perfect for those chilly mornings. When you roll out of the tent there is frost on the ground, but you know once the sun comes up you will have to ditch the puffy jacket and then its up to the Llano. Merino wool is the ideal base layer material for a couple reasons. Perhaps most importantly is the way merino wool interacts with the environment. Merino wool does an excellent job wicking moisture, which makes you feel cool when its hot, but it also an excellent insulator which makes you feel warm when its cold. These micro adjustments are largely effected by fabric weight, but there is no denying the benefits of merino wool. The Llano long sleeve makes the most of these benefits, keeping you comfortable as you pursue your next trophy. -Machine washable and dryable

  • First Lite Allegheny Bottoms
One of the main reasons merino wool is so popular as a base layer is because of the versatility it offers hunters. With synthetic base layers you have to pay close attention to the weight of the product, not so with merino wool. The natural wool fibers respond to micro changes in temperature, which is why one of the widely toted benefits is that merino wool is cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The Allegheny bottoms should be your go-to base layer for your legs. Whether you are crouched in a duck blind or wandering the mountains the Allegheny is your first line of defense against sweat, cold and stink producing bacteria. Trust nature and choose merino wool. -Machine washable and dryable

  • Frontier Gear of Alaska Nunivak Pullover
We are beyond words excited about the reintroduction of our Frontier Gear of Alaska products. It's been a long time coming, but we wanted to make absolutely certain that when we launched this line, it was the absolute best it could be. We traveled the world looking for the best factories we could that could do a SMALL, and SPECIALIZED run of the highest quality products we could design. Unfortunately in the manufacturing world, those two words just simply don't "Normally" coincide. If you want quality, you must produce quantity, which for us just wasn't the goal. In turn, we were disappointed on more than one occasion with over promises of quality from factories willing to produce our numbers. Our team had one common goal in mind, and that was maintaining our small business mindset while reaching as high up the technology ladder as we possibly could. From our Insulated Jackets & Pants, to our brand new Mid Layer Pullovers, we are pleased to announce that we accomplished our goals, and even though the wait was enduring, we are confident that the products that stemmed from all this time and effort will prove to be worth it. The Nunivak Pullover is 1 of our 2 new Mid Layer's that we added to our collection this year. The Nunivak Uses Primaloft Fleece, which is the latest in synthetic technology utilizing the industries top shelf insulation, but spun into fleece. Outperforming what you've come to expect from typical fleece, with incredible dry and wet performance. Primaloft released this technology here a few years ago, and we've been putting in to the test here in AK since then on everything from Dall Sheep hunts, to Peninsula Brown Bear Hunts. It has all the properties of synthetic insulation, without the overwhelming radiant heat of an insulated piece. The Nunivak also features Polartech PowerStretch side panels from the armpit to the waist allowing for ventilation and mobility, as well as Schoeller reinforcement on the elbow to wrist sections of the arms. Utilizing YKK zippers and the best of the best ingredients, while incorporating thumb hole loops for easy layering and warmth, the Nunivak is a must add to the collection this fall. -Primaloft Insulation Performance Fleece -Polartech Power Stretch -Schoeller Reinforcement -YKK Zippered Chest Pocket

  • Frontier Gear of Alaska Brooks Range Jacket
This is our famous jacket that Bob designed twenty-five years ago while hunting sheep in the Brooks Range. The jacket is now in use by sheep hunters all over the world from Tajikistan to Siberia as well as a layering piece for polar bear hunting. The jacket uses the finest synthetic insulation available- Primaloft. The continuous fiber design of Primaloft eliminates the need for baffles, which in turn eliminates insulation shift and thousands of stitch holes through the windproof shell. We chose Synthetic insulation for our jackets because of Alaska's rugged terrain and weather. Keeping you dry even when wet, and having the ability to dry out remarkably fast, Primaloft's lightweight, and compressibility combined with all it's other features make it a perfect fit for backpack hunting. The outer shell material is made of Event, a 2 Layer waterproof, breathable fabric that exceeds industry standards for breathability and durability. The jacket has zippered, fleece lined pockets as well as a fleece-lined collar. The front zipper has a built in storm guard over the front YKK Vislon Zipper. The bottom of the jacket has adjustable hem cords to prevent wind from entering the jacket. The Brooks Range Jacket occupies very little space (approximately 6x10 inch stuff sack) and is our most popular insulated outerwear piece. This jacket is a necessity for any hunts where you are sitting glassing for long periods of time or you are in cooler conditions. The Brooks Range jacket will become one of your favorite pieces of hunting equipment and it also looks good as a casual wear garment. Average weight is 30 oz. -2 Layer Event Waterproof Breathable -Primaloft Insulation -Highly water resistant -2 zippered waist pockets -Reinforced elbows and shoulders -Removable Insulated, Adjustable Hood
