Timberline Pants have proven to withstand some of Alaska's most rugged backcountry and have furthermore earned their right to hang on our racks. The timberline has become one of our few "go to" pants for the Alaskan backcountry. Our staff and many of the guides in Alaska rely on the pants every season. Made from high quality material and with the serious hunter in mind, these pants have been put to the test and will continue to pass with flying colors. -Optifade camouflage -Waterproof knees and seat -Zippered waist pocket -Reinforced instep - 36 oz (includes removable knee pads) Notes: The material used in the Timberline pant, along with the heavy duty reinforcement on the knees and seat, adds weight and warmth to the pant. • One of the newest additions to the Frontier Gear of Alaska line, the Wooly Mammoth is a piece that Bob and Kevin have been eager to design for many years. Stemming from the old school concept of wool, the Wooly's main body is Pontetorto Techno Wool. The conversation around fleece vs. wool has always been a topic of discussion around any outdoor shop, however the unique thing about Techno Wool is the fact that it brings two rival enemies who are great at what they do, to the same side. With a Wool outer face, backed with a brushed fleece, the Wooly offers what we feel as one of the most functional 1/4 zip pullovers on the market today. The Wooly has become exceedingly popular with our bush pilots and sheep hunters alike who spend a lot of time in the back of a SuperCub, as it's flame retardant properties offer that extra sense of security in the event of a disaster. Understanding how hard not only Guides and Outfitters are on their gear, but Sheep, Goat, Moose and Bear hunters alike, we wanted to make sure we reinforced all our high wear areas where we see the most failures in other garments. Using one of the industries most durable but technical fabrics, we added Schoeller reinforcements from the elbow to the wrist sections on the underarm. With Polartech Power Stretch side panels for ventilation and mobility when in the field, a 1/4 zip YKK zipper, Thumbholes on the wrist section for layering, and finished with a small left chest pocket, we feel we have pulled out all the stops in the Wooly Mammoth Pullover.   Sizes:  XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL
  • One of the newest additions to the Frontier Gear of Alaska line, the Nunivak stems from the latest in fabric technology paired with some of the industries most tried and trued technical fabrics. The main body of this piece is Primaloft Fleece, which is made from the same insulation that we use in our infamous Brooks Range and SuperCub Jackets. Primaloft is well known in the industry for not only it's moisture wicking, and quick drying capabilities, but more importantly here in Alaska it's ability to  keep the end user warm even if the fabric is completely wet. When Primaloft announced they were introducing a fleece fabric, we immediately went to work on designing what we feel is one of the most technical and more importantly functional 1/4 pullovers on the market today.
